Meet Ariana Ragsdale

Ol Billy Goat is one of several pieces Ariana Ragsdale created for her ongoing 2023–2024 collection After Life is More Lyfe. While creating this collection, Ariana gathered inspiration from the notorious and iconic artist Salvador Dali who is one of the many artists she has been inspired by since she was a little girl. She also draws inspiration from Egyptian mythology and Egyptian hieroglyphics created on walls. Ariana often pays attention to the texture and detail on walls and transfers that to her artwork.

This collection heavily focuses on life taking its course and human nature. It draws from Ariana’s perspective in a surrealist way, carefully exploring personal situations, relationships, and the process of accepting things that commonly happen in everyone’s lives. Ariana realized that through thick and thin life still goes on no matter what, and that it’s all about how one plays their cards and makes decisions. In the end, she found that this can be a beautiful process; a needed process at that. This is what she conveys with her collection After Life is More Lyfe.
